Ramen Girl

A young American woman; Abby was unexpectedly abandoned by her boyfriend and finds herself suddenly alone and aimlessly working in Tokyo. Feeling lost in the foreign culture, Abby end up hanging out in a ramen shop opposite her apartment. After seeing the delightful effects of the shop's ramen on the customers, Abby convinces herself that her true path in life is to become a ramen chef. She wanted to let those people whom are depressed gets happy after they eat the ramen she cooks, just like what the ramen chef had done.

Abby persuades the shop's tyrannical, temperamental Japanese master chef to teach her the skills. Although their relationship is constantly filled with shouting and yelling, they both discover the most important ingredient of all; each ramen bowl must be cook with passion, feelings and spirit.

It is not just a movie about cooking ramen. It consists even more. It shows that everyone of us should be what we really want to be and not to be what our parents want us to be. It also tells a story of if you are persistent enough you can succeed in anything just like Abby surpassing the barriers of culture and the out of the ordinary occupation for her (she study law, and doing legal work!).

I always wanted to go to Tokyo, to just randomly settle myself into any of this ramen shop on the street. After watching Ramen Girl, the interest to visit the International Ramen Museum in Japan is growing as well.

I like to eat ramen, likes to go Ken Noodles House to curb my urge if I can :)

And indeed, after watching this movie, I overheard couples of parents bringing their children to eat ramen!

Twilight (The forbidden love)

Just watched Twilght over the weekend, con Jim to watched with me.. haaa
hmmm.. a teenage love story with few moments of vampires & werewolves.
However, its that mushy and forbidden love that capture the hearts of young gals around the world.

Robert Pattinson; the main cast for the character Edward Cullen. Didn't notice that he has acted in Harry Potter before. Not someone that is very handsome, but this character would definately let you have a deep impression of him imprinted onto your mind. His occasionally smile, his pale skin and his build.

What i like about this movie:-

* The look on Edward when he first saw Bella, the expression on his face when he tried to resist the scent of Bella, the scent that would make him bite again!

*The baseball game definately!

*Smile on Edward's face when he and Bella gets together (shown the next day when he drove Bella to school.)

* Cullen's family house on the mountain, its so relax and its the nearest to the nature.

A happy ending for this sequel but how far would this forbidden love goes? Heard that author Stephanie Meyer had prepared a happy ever after ending for them in her book but it all depends on the director for the movie.

Extract form Yahoo! Movies

Harlem要笑不笑的演技

不喜欢:

吴尊的阿-阿叫, 如果他不是叫的那么不文雅,这部戏就会更维美
胡歌和吴尊的角色也许对调会比较好, 总觉得梁仲山的角色比较适合胡歌

Mamma Mia

Mamma Mia, the movie that based on the blockbuster stage musical of the same name. It was shot in the beautiful small Greek islands of Skopelos and Skiathos among others, the island's picturesque scenery is a must-see and in addition to an already fun romantic musical. The scenery does makes you want to list down the Greek islands as your next choice for a holiday.

The real surprise here is Meryl Streep! She sings, she dances, she jumps around in cute blue costumes while her golden hair dancing together, making you think that where the hell did she get the energy from?? You will never expect this from her if you were to remember those serious character she have mostly acted, and not to mention her in Devils wears Prada.Another cast to mention is Christine Baranski as Tanya in the movie… She is a marvelous actress which acted in another musical movie Chicago. Make sure to catch her in the flirty and mischievous part in the song of “Does your mother know”.

The whole show is based on ABBA songs, mentioning it is a must. The fun musical started off with "Honey, Honey", then “Money, Money, Money”, “Mamma Mia” and not to miss the song; "Dancing Queen". (Well … Dancing Queen is already on my ringtone :)

The only bother of this show would be Pierce Brosnan's voice talent. I could see that he tried his very best for it but hmmm…. And I think the expression when singing those sentimental songs, esp to Meryl Streep is a bit off and not convincing. Nevertheless, I am glad she chosen him ...

Make sure to catch this movie that will take away your blues for sure.

200 Pounds Beauty

Guess those who watched this movie before would come to an understanding that plastic surgery and honesty really helps. After i watched this movie, i asked Jim.
"So which part do you think i should go for surgery?"
He smiled and said" Can you endure the pain?"
I said "Hmm let's say i can."
He replied " Haha, dun need lah."

Hee. .how true i wonder. For me, i guess the part where i want to put the knife on is my flat nose and lipo. Lots of lipo i guess.

I like the acting skill of the main lead: Kim Ah-Joong. Quite natural, although i feel that something it is quite exaggerating. Well, thats korean show. The song that i posted is sang personally by her. She went through few months of training and I could say that she done very well for this song. Perharps she should go into singing. Great vocal. Enjoy!

Words to remember... perharps ponders....

"When you needs me but don't want me, i'll be there.
When you wants me but don't needs me, i'll be gone."
Its sad but thats how things goes.. Extracted from movie: Nanny Mcphee
How true are these two sentences? For once i used these principles before towards a guy..
