Last nite, juz watched the musical, Snow Wolf Lake. A show with magnificant casting and bright range of colours. Jackie Cheung as the male lead, Yvonne Hsu and Nnadia Chan as the 2 actress.
This Chinese musical talks about a tragic love story about Wolf (Jackie), who is a poor gardener and in love with Snow(Yvonne), a girl from a rich family, as he commits suicide with his lover when they drown themselves in the Snow Wolf Lake, the place where they first expressed their passions for each other. Yu Feng(Nnadia) being Snow's sister whom actually falls in love with Wolf at the same time but could not replace Snow in Wolf's heart.
In 1997 that was ard 8 yrs back, Jackie Cheung gave 43 consecutive performances in Cantonese, which set a box-office record in Hong Kong's musical history and this made him more famous than ever.
I had missed this musical 8 yrs ago, that time i was still young and of course no money. I like the former casting whom are Kit chan (Yu Feng) and Lin YiLian (Snow). Now finally get to watch it, feels that Jackie sang the best thru out show. His voice is so powerful. For Nnadia,being fluent in cantonese, but not very in mandarin sang quite well during the 2nd part.Can see that she put in her effort.
Altough the tix is costly for my financial now, well... just take it as my bithday present for my own and to fulfull what i dun get to do the last time they acted.
