Tatoo Show 2009

Singapore held its first Tatoo Show in Expo on 11 Jan. It is the least expected exhibition that i ever think i would go for. Moreover it comes with quite a fair bit of admission fee.
Jim always have a liking for tatoos and he is thinking of getting a new tatoo on his arm so we went and have a look.
Suprise, quite much to my liking and i get to see and experience a lot of ART feel on the design, the layout, the coloring etc.. And everytime i saw the tatoo artists in action, one word come to my mind "PAIN"... Most of the exhibitors are from Taiwan, the rest are mainly from Malaysia, USA, Philipines and local..
My favourite Taiwan guy in the whole exhibition, fierce on the outside but friendly in the inner.

He went on to show me his tatoo behind, which is an unfinished one. The outline already cost him laying on the bed w/o moving for around 10hrs.
He also purposely bent down to show me the nicer angle of the movement of the tiger.

Look at these tatoos on their body, it definately takes them months to fully completed it and not to mention the pain that they had to endure.

Artists in action

The famous reality show from USA, Miami Ink was also in the exhibition. Long Q was formed to obtained poster & authograph from the tatoo artist, Chris Garver.
Chris Garver is widely considered to be among the best tattoo artists in the world. With a celebrity-studded list of private clients (and a wait list), he has set the bar for the rest of the artists. He also handles his status with humility, and has little patience for sloppy work.
Only when i google him, then i know how famous he is... =)
