Is Singapore government injecting an unnatural sports feel to us?
Today, over the radio, I heard that sports council desperately needs volunteers for the Asian Youth Games (AYG) this June. Although the news of being the first country to hold the AYG is no longer new, but the number of people volunteering is low. On the other hand, the volunteers for the upcoming FI race in Sept are so many that it is all based on balloting now. My thought is people are more interested in the fast and furious cars instead of supporting the (our) young sports athletes for their (hard-to-get) medals.
